Why brands hire us for commercials

28 years of creative development production.
Now producing finished content too.

Creative development is the messiest, most scrutinised part of the creative process — and we've spent nearly three decades inside it. The biggest brands, the top agencies. The tightest timelines, the strictest budgets. A discipline that demands resourcefulness like no other. Plus comprehension of the narrative, strategy and nuance of the brand. All before the camera ever rolls. AI now lets us roll that camera too. We hold U.S. Copyright Office registration for AI video, so your IP is protected throughout. We've been featured on CNN for AI production breakthroughs. And our AI specialist team is unlike anything else in the industry.

Broadcast quality. A fraction of the cost.
A fraction of the time.

AI production costs 10–20% of a traditional production. 10 days from brief to broadcast master.

What your commercial will look like.

Recent work from the AI production pipeline — broadcast, CTV and digital cuts. The same RenderLux process delivers 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16 from a single shot package. Click any tile to watch.

2026 is the year of broadcast-format AI commercial work. Most of it under brand and agency banners we can't name yet.

In 1999, our founder drew the storyboards Steven Spielberg signed off on for ET's Super Bowl appearance with Progressive Insurance. Everyone else in the room was using markers whilst he coloured in Photoshop.

Same instinct. New tools. A quarter century later.

Deliverables

One campaign. Every platform.

Every deliverable formatted and finished to the exact specification of its placement — network broadcast, cable, CTV, OTT, YouTube pre-roll and paid digital. Every master ships complete with closed captions, audio descriptions and broadcast standards documentation.

How it's made

RenderLux™ — the workflow that earned a copyright registration.

Every project begins with hand-drawn storyboards. Human authorship established from the first mark. AI is the production tool — not the author. The same process and the same legal foundation, whether the final is photoreal or animated, broadcast or pre-roll.

01 · Storyboard

A pencil. A frame. A human decision.

The legal foundation and the creative one. Your team, the client, CMO or brand team approve the flow before a single AI frame is generated.

02 · Generate

The right tool for the right shot.

Anchored by Rendermind across the leading generation platforms — Veo, Kling, Runway, Seedance and others. Photoreal where the brief calls for it. Animation where it doesn't.

03 · Edit & score

Cut. Colour. Sound.

Original music composed and finished in a professional DAW. Voice directed by humans. Every frame reviewed against network broadcast standards.

04 · Legal wrap

Copyright registration filed.

Documentation delivered. Human Oversight Verification Certificate signed. Trafficker-ready masters in every format required.

FAQ

The questions that come up first.

Specific answers for specific concerns. If yours isn't here, email hello@animaticmedia.com and we'll respond swiftly.

Will AI commercials hold up to broadcast quality standards? +

Yes. From storyboards and animatics to TVCs and series animation, we've spent 28 years producing work to broadcast specification — sitting alongside the teams responsible for delivering to network. We know what that pipeline demands because we've been inside it.

Every AI final master is colour-graded, audio-mixed and quality-controlled to network broadcast specifications — 23.976 fps, ProRes 422 HQ, broadcast-safe audio levels, closed captions and audio descriptions. Built to pass network QC. Reviewed against those standards before every delivery.

What deliverables and durations do you produce? +

Whatever your spec requires, we've got it covered. From :15s to :90s or beyond, we deliver across network broadcast, cable, CTV, OTT, YouTube pre-roll and digital. Multiple aspect ratios from a single production — 16:9 for broadcast, 1:1 for digital, 9:16 for social — with closed captions, audio descriptions and full broadcast standards documentation included as standard.

What does an AI commercial production cost compared to traditional? +

Significantly less than you might expect. A typical 30-second spot comes in at 10 to 20 percent of equivalent traditional production cost. No location fees. No talent day rates. No SAG-AFTRA agreement required. No re-shoot risk. Exact figures depend on length, format mix and turnaround — but after a 30-minute scoping call we share a treatment, project scope, and fixed-scope estimate within 48 hours.

Is the work copyright-registered? Will my legal team sign off? +

Yes, and we've made it straightforward for them. Animatic Media holds U.S. Copyright Registration PAu 4-297-548 — to our knowledge the only AI video studio with one. Every project begins with hand-drawn storyboards, establishing human authorship under U.S. Copyright Office guidance. Full documentation and a Human Oversight Verification Certificate are delivered with every project. Your brand owns the commercial outright. If you're based outside of the US we can look into how this translates in your part of the world.

How fast can you deliver a 30-second TV spot? +

Faster than you're used to. 10 days from kickoff to final broadcast master, with three feedback gates built in — kickoff, mid-production review and final approval. Compare to 8 to 12 weeks for traditional commercial production. The bottleneck used to be the shoot. Now it's the storyboard.

Can you produce hybrid commercials that mix AI footage with live-action? +

More often than you'd think — most briefs benefit from both. AI handles environments, products, period scenes and shots without faces. Live-action handles talent, hero close-ups and brand spokesperson moments. We coordinate the live-action component, integrate everything through the same RenderLux pipeline and deliver one coherent master. This is standard practice on roughly half the broadcast briefs we run.

How does this work with our agency of record? +

Very comfortably. Half our work flows directly through agencies and we're experienced at working under your AOR's creative direction. We offer three white-label options — invisible delivery, co-credit in production credits or open partnership — whichever suits the relationship best. Your agency partnerships are always respected. That's written into every contract.

What about music, voice-over, and licensing? +

All taken care of. Original music is composed and produced in-house, finished to broadcast standard in a professional DAW. Voice-over is human-directed throughout. Every music and voice element ships copyright-cleared and licensed for broadcast, with full documentation included. No third-party licensing surprises. No music search fees. No SAG-AFTRA voice-over agreement required.
