Meet The Animator: Jim
Ever wondered who creates your animatics? Behind the scenes at Animatic Media, we work with a large international team of artists and animators who transform your ideas, our briefs, into the animatics used to pitch or research your advertising campaign. They really are a talented bunch! So, we thought we'd get to know these creative individuals a little better in our "Meet The Animator" series.
First up is animator, Jim. Here's what he had to say...

Which piece of work are you most proud of and why?
I'm most proud of the Hellmann's "with a spark" animatic, it's quite old now but I still think it looks great. Aardman (who made the TVC) pretty much used it frame for frame; the fact they didn't feel the need to change my direction and that I'm a massive Aardman fan was a real buzz.
What or who influences you?
I work with a lot of creative people so I guess it's only natural that they have the biggest influence on my creative output. But I also get influenced and inspired by everything around me, it could be an overheard conversation, a piece of music, a spelling mistake or a piece of art.
What cartoon or comic book character are you most like and why?
I would like to think I'm like batman but according to an internet test, I'm most like Velma from Scooby Doo!
Summer or winter?
Summer!
What's your favourite quote?
"It's better to regret the things you have done than to regret the things you haven't"
What do you love most about your job?
I love the variety of my days and the interesting people I get to meet and interact with from all over the globe. I also love seeing decisions I made in pre-viz make to the final TVC.
